Benrus Ultra-deep 6089 Automatic Compressor

Up for sale is the beautiful Benrus Ultra-deep 6089 Super Compressor. In the 1960s, compressor design gained fame for its innovative concept where increased pressure would force the spring-loaded caseback against the case to create a tighter seal. While the theory sounded promising, it proved inefficient in practice. Nevertheless, collectors still favor the design today, drawn by its aesthetic appeal featuring two crowns and a military-inspired dial.
